Are Nigerian men controlling once they you are married to them?

I am planing on marrying a Nigerian man who seems to be the most loving and attentive man I have ever met but I have been told that once we are married this will all change. Are Nigerian men controlling once they you are married to them?
Not all, depends. If hes much older than you he has that kind of 'african sense'. You should expect the change in behaviour if his much older than you.

My parents are Nigerian, lol my mum said everything changed after they got married, then again they have been together for over 22 years and still going 'strong'.

Just make sure you have known him for long before you decide to tie the knot. Are Nigerian men controlling once they you are married to them?
Why do you care what other people think? If you have to ask this question, maybe you need to question why you are marrying him in the first place. I don't know what kind of relationship or understanding you have with him, but if he is truly the way you just described him, other peoples opinion should not matter. Maybe its what they know, but it may not be true of your future husband.

Its has been said and written that Nigerian men can be dominating and controlling, but that can be true of all men, no matter what their ethnicity is.

Read the article listed below that someone posted about Nigerian men marrying African American women, it was posted 2 years ago, but I found it interesting to read. Keep in mind that this a personal opinion, and not facts! I don't know what your race is, but it doesn't matter, this article can apply to any race!

Follow your heart!
Some but not all my father was never controlling towards my mother.

You should do him a favor and not marry this man.
