1corinthians 14:34-35 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.





35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.








why are men afraid to preach those verses above ?How come any woman who married a pastor became a pastor automatically?
Paul had views that were extremely common for that time period (and womens rights really didn't change until a couple hundred years ago), but the Bible was one of the few books at the time that actually did claim women should even be allowed to have rights, and be loved by their husbands. They are to have wisdom, the ability to teach, and also be political leaders. (Proverbs 31:26; Titus 2:2, Judges 4-5) The Bible stated that women could also work, make money, and be in business. (Proverbs 31:12-14,16,19-22, 31)





(Many societies today won't even give women the same rights that the Bible has given them for thousands of years.)





Also, women and men are of equal value and worth to God. All believers, male and female, are all considered as ';Sons of God'; without distinction. (Galatians 3:26-29) Women were also made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:27)

Are these some of the bible verses that were used to oppress women? Seriously, I think those verses have very little significance in the greater scheme of the bible and Christianity.
The word 'pastor' is the word for elder, not preacher. Any church who uses this term for their preacher isn't readng the Bible.
