When filling out the DS11 form for my passport application, do I put that I have been married?

I have been married once but am married no longer. When I chose that I had been married, and I went to process the application it said that I was currently married and I am not. Therefore, I am not sure I should put that I have been married before.

I am moving to another country with plans on getting married there and I don't want to jeopardize that by my passport saying I am married when I am not. When filling out the DS11 form for my passport application, do I put that I have been married?
I think you put you are divorced. It doesn't ask if you were married, it asks if you are married, single, divorced, widowed
