In the Sims 2, is it possible to have a male sim the father of a child but not married to the mother?

I know that you can do it by making the two sims break up but I was wondering whether there is a way to do it in the ';Create a Family'; mode. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)In the Sims 2, is it possible to have a male sim the father of a child but not married to the mother?
You can also make an unmarried couple try for a baby.In the Sims 2, is it possible to have a male sim the father of a child but not married to the mother?
Yep. Create an adult male character, then create a child. Go into the relationship definer and drag the kid to the man and define as the man's child. Then, save the family. Easy peasy. :)

OK, with the added into... you can create a Dad, then a Mom, then a kid blending the DNA of the two. Go into the relationship definer and drag the kid to the dad and define the kid as dad's child. Mom will be a roomie of Dad, unless you decide to define her as his spouse. Or, you can define the kid as Mom's child and Dad will be the unmarried roomie.

Either way (strangely enough), it doesn't appear that you can define the kid as the child of both. Creating the child by mixing the DNA of the parents, you technically have the mother and father together but not married. They just won't both be defined as parents through the relationship thing.
or have mom and dad argue and break up so the mom will leave and dad has the kid(s)
Yes I have tried it before and it worked.
yes ive done it before
