Why do your parents lose rights when you get married?

I'm 16 years old, (still a minor) %26amp; I'm getting married to the father of my child this September. I was wondering why my Mother has to sign her rights over or else I can't get married. I'm not 18, I'm still considered a minor. It's not like I can vote %26amp; stuff now. I don't get it?Why do your parents lose rights when you get married?
When a person marries their spouse automatically becomes their next of kin- meaning they make decisions when it comes to emergencies like an injury or condition where you can't speak for yourself and you don't have a will, they also would be the heir to any property or savings in the event of your death if you don't have a will stating otherwise. So, when you are a minor it's sort of like your parents are giving custody of you to your husband. Why do your parents lose rights when you get married?
well see i was 16 when i had my daughter my boyfriend was already out of his parents house so i went and got emancipated..your doing the same basically it sounds weird for your mother being responsible for her married daughter..think about it, that is yours and your husbands job now to be responsible for each other and your child..dont worry it can be done if you think your old enough to have a baby and get married those are big responsibilities and choices you have made so welcome to the big world, youll make it, its hard but its a good feeling knowing you can take care of yourself and your child, and im sure your mother is going to be there for you every step of the way so no worries. congrats on your baby :)
Its because your not a child anymore. By getting married you are in a way signing away your legal rights to be considered a minor. Who wants to be married and having a baby and labeled a child, no one that's who. Your making adult choices, so its time to legally become one.
check your state marriage requirements to see if she has to sign over. it could vary state to state. and no she would not lose you as right of daughter. but legal he would assume some responsibility. he statutory rare in the age fact with a child. in my state.
Your husband will be your family once you marry. Your mother signing makes you legal. Just like if they sign for you to join the military, once you are set to go even underage you are then legal. It is like they gave up rights to you.
Why are you getting married at 16? You are most likely making a BIG mistake. Why do you want to get married. Just have the baby or give it up for adoption. You need to enjoy your life and not be strapped with responsibility at such a young age. PLEASE DO NOT GET MARRIED.
it's because your new husband is suppose to take care of you.
